Women in Politics Support Unit (WiPSU) have called for violence -free elections and 1000 council seats for women during the 2018 general election to achieve gender parity in local authorities. Currently the gender disparity in council position is so huge as out 1 958 councilors in Zimbabwe only 327 of them are women.  Newsday Saturday 23 December 2017

Small-scale artisanal miners positively responded to the incentive extended by the government. Of the gold delivered this year from January to September small-scale miners produced 51% which is 17,2 tones .   News day  Saturday 23 December 2017

The minister of industry, commerce and enterprise development  Mike Bimha told daily news that “normalcy in price can only be restored through dialogue”, and ruled out price controls. The Anti- Corruption Commission (Zacc) is caring out corruption investigating on  individuals and companies in both private sector and local authorities.  Names of individuals and companies under the investigation are not provided yet but Zacc has promised the nation that all perpetrators will be brought to book. AirZim is reported to have made a loss of $24 million this year. The minister of transport Joram Gumbo made effort  to partner with 12 airlines in any aim to recapitalize the AirZim but the efforts where fruitless because of the unattractiveness’ of the company’s debts that amount to $300 million. Currently Zim Airways is being run by a private company known as Zimbabwe Aviation Leasing Company (ZALC), which has purchased two planes so far. ZALC is still raising funds to purchase two other planes and making efforts to bring in small planes in the country to promote tourism.  Daily news  Wednesday 27 December 2017

Sakunda holdings inject $10 million into command livestock and aims to support the production of up to two million chickens per month. All the ZANU-PF  provinces have endorsed the decision made by  President E.D Mnangwagwa on his appointment of  the retired general Constantio Chiwenga and Cde Kembo Mohadi as his party deputies. Parts of Manicaland province have being affected by fall armyworm and many farmers are worried since they can incur great losses from this outbreak . Many farmers were not prepared for the outbreak and some are not even aware of the chemical used to treat the worms . The Zimbabwe Farmers Union embarked on a mission of educating  the farmer.
