The main industrials index shed another 0.41% ti 141.14 points to take its weekly loss to 2.66% and its year-to-date loss to -2.35%.  At the same time in 2016, after trading for 19 trading sessions the market had already lost 10.17%. Year on year, the market is still up 36.80%. Much of the market’s value has been lost through the tumbling Econet share price. Overall trading was still subdued with only 8 stocks trading on Friday. Turnover for the day at $526K was however encouraging and above the year’s daily average of $347K. Same time last year, the daily average was $551K. Overall turnover this year at $6.6m is down $3.8m from turnover of $10.4m that had been invested same time last year.
